Theatre Committee Established

We held our planning meeting this evening at the Smyrna Library to start our Theatre Committee! Three Smyrna-area professional actors are the founding members. We have our official public kick-off meeting scheduled for Monday March 7, 2016 at the Smyrna Public Library in the downstairs meeting room. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.

We need actors and other volunteers to help support the following projects:

• Establish a Series of Monthly Acting Technique Workshops

• Establish a Series of Monthly Dramatic Readings with Play Analysis Discussion

• Partner with the Smyrna Library to catalog and promote theatrical-related learning 

resources freely available to local citizen with their library card

• Present an outdoor production of a Shakespeare play with local actors

• Support the Shakespeare 400th Anniversary events at the Smyrna Library this Fall

• Present a dramatic reading holiday season production

• Start discussion to pick a catchy name for the threatre group!
